The exam consists of 50 multiple-choice questions in the same style as official DECA exams. While the number of applicants varies year to year, we encourage you to focus on preparation and do your best.
In the Case Study round, students have 10 minutes to prepare and 2–3 minutes to present to a panel of executives. Presentations are followed by short Q&A. Judges typically look for strong presentation skills, confidence, critical thinking, and creativity.
DECA competitions are organized into five clusters:
- Marketing
- Finance
- Hospitality & Tourism
- Entrepreneurship
- Business Management & Administration
Students apply industry knowledge within their chosen cluster to solve real-world problems.
